The the Queen’s champion and the guardian councils head has a similar name with an “a” and add all these different format of calling and you would be lost.

And half of the names sounded so similar you would just be confused. Also it was confusing when the author changed the format of names he used in the same damn page like using the first name in a sentence than the person’s last name and than randomly the title. The writing was easy to follow but the lack of explanation made you confused but I guess that why fantasy authors just give you the glossary and say do it yourself. You just get to see them in fight scenes, 2-3 from far far away in between war? Sigh! What is with Fantasy book with dragons on the cover and paying them dust in the series… like priory? And then Tess of the road where the dragon was philosophical one?!?!?!?!?! I am serious like what the hell? Why are you like this? I would actually love to see them more in the story and as actual characters. So we shall get to the dragon in the room, aha the actual dragon!! this book has the word dragon in its title and on the cover, but yeah that’s pretty deceiving!! It actually is pretty devoid of dragons so far. Which I found odd? But anyway he got way to super human way too fast in his character growth arc. I just kinda irked me that he got to well too fast? Like the man was literally a coward some moons ago? Also sometimes we were told omg he has gotten so good, than to go to nobles and than just lose it in fear. Tau, as most revenge burned main characters was a little cuckoo in the head. It took a good while for things to make full sense. You are explained about nothing… have to keep going back in between the glossary and the story, and with so many similar sounding words leaving you in a doozy while trying to stay up to date all the action happening in the pages. The world building at the start does leave you super confused. We start following our main character who is still innocent and coward but than an unfortunate series of events just start that revenge journey arc. I mean anything that promises me dragons is just and insta want!!!Īn action based story with a revenge theme gets into the ugly from the get go.
